I created a flyer in Canva for my minicourse. The flyer contains all the information related to the course. All images are decorative, so no alt text was needed for the images. I did not need to extensively change any images since this was not instructional material. However, I did use a filter on one photo to enhance the colors to better match the others. 

 

The flyer includes a simple logo. This took me a significant amount of time to create this image as there were a lot of options for creating this image, including AI, and some options did not allow me the option for making the changes I wanted. In the end, I developed the logo myself.  The logo is very simple, and states, “Xen Education Group” and has a small graphic of a green leaf above the word “Xen.” I decided to keep the design simple to avoid detracting from the content of the flyer. Additionally, the simplicity is consistent with the concept of “Zen.” 

 

In addition to the logo, the flyer includes the company philosophy, information on the upcoming course (course title and course description), and an instructor bio. I did include alt text for the logo, but there is sufficient information in the flyer so the alt text is not necessarily needed, and it will not hinder the learner if the screen reader does not pick it up.
