There are 10 Likert scale questions that ask the learner to evaluate the effectiveness of the course in relation to massage therapy and learning outcomes, the instructor’s interaction, and value of the course. Value would include time spent, as well as whether the learner experienced personal growth. There are three additional sections where the learner has an opportunity to comment and self-identify, if they choose (the survey is anonymous). This information will help assess the overall experience of the learner. Engagement and value are significant for a CE course. If the surveys indicate these two aspects are low, and feedback is given for why, adjustments can be made to the course content or how the instructor is engaging. If these are low primarily because the course itself is not of high value, there is an opportunity to find out what other topics or modalities would be better to offer.
