Discussion Question (link to rubric within Discussion question): Topic: Myth or Fact? (instructure.com)

Note:

A standard rubric is used for the discussion questions. The criterion measures the discussion response according to professional standards and expectations since these provide an objective guideline for grading. The discussion also requires the use of personal experience for support or examples. The rubric can be seen below, or you can click on the link to the rubric within the discussion question.

Reflection

Because continuing education in massage therapy typically focuses on hours completed in an area, rather than earning a grade, I want to make sure the rubrics account for personal experiences and approaches, but with the parameter that responses must be within the context of expected standards of practice, ethical guidelines and research or known evidence. The information gathered from the rubrics would help me know if this approached worked and provide insight into how I could better improve the assignment prompts and scoring criteria for future classes. It would also help me understand how well this course worked with the in-person portion.
